Hi there . There’s nothing stopping you from going to the event if you are honestly saying based on the argument “you are straight” and “you are not looking for sex” . Firstly , ask its organiser for more information to regards who are allowed or welcomed to this event. I’m sure they will say it’s no problem as long as you are a man. You could go with a friend who you know is gay or bisexual/bi-curious. Failed that , going alone might be a problem for some people who happened to be shy to take the first steps . If you are not in this category then you will make friends there . And they won’t attack you either . You can tell them you are straight and you are there to check the event as an admirer and wearer of tight gear. Secondly , Saying that you are not looking for sex because it’s a gay event it’s not only a bit judgmental but also silly 🤦🏼‍♂️. Again they are civilised human beings therefore they know how to behave in social events. Sex orgies might or might not happen in gay clubs or gay events around the world if there are opportunities to enable them are allowed, for example the organisers should have plans in place to ensure if they happen it won’t have any negative impact on them and the premises hosting. I’m sure you are able to know what to do if a gay person there flirts with you . Be honest and tell them you are there to check and make friends to guys into the same fetish as yourself. And one last thing: please don’t use these excuses again when it comes to gay events. Gay People will take this as another stepback for a society still very much divided in this world . Go and enjoy yourself. Life is too damn short!
Hi, I'm Edwin and the organizer of the Spandexparty in Amsterdam. We have been organizing Spandex parties in the Netherlands for more than 20 years and our visitors are mainly gay and bisexual men. Our parties are not just about sex. We are one of the few parties where men keep their clothes on. The love and fascination for lycra and sharing that love with each other is the main theme of our parties. Respecting each other's boundaries is always an important theme. We have a regular group of visitors and for some Spandex parties involve sitting at the bar and admiring the outfits, others go further and enjoy touching each other, some play and role play where superheroes are a major theme. There is also a play area at the back of the bar and yes, men have sex with each other. Our visitors are of all ages and with us it is men only. We are regularly approached by straight men, but they often want to bring their girlfriends. Unfortunately for them, that is a no go for us. Straight men therefore often do not come even though they are very welcome. So for us it is not all about the bulge and sex, but mainly a party for sandex/Lycra fans
