Even with all of the changes and fixes here and there...thank you for the new site and the hard work...I'm sure it will turn out AMAZING in the end.
A few others have mentioned thinking "traffic" is down and that it may be because of the site changes...etc, but the site is going to be as good as the members. The value of the site is incredible, comparably so yes....more people need to join, but current members need to give them a reason to see value in it. So...keep your profiles fresh, reply to people who pay you a compliment ( or rate your photos favorably)-even if you aren't a "match" and I guarantee you more people join. Spandex is HOT!....kindness and respect...even hotter!!!!
With that being said if someone hasn't "been seen last" for years +, they probably are not helping hold/get memberships. Any thought to removing "older" profiles. (Even when the profile/pics were amazing).
People looking for connections/conversation aren't going to see a reason to stay/pay when they get "all pics & no action/connection". Especially with free tumblr, etc sites everywhere.
Thanks for listening.
(Same message below posted as a reply instead of new topic...sorry!)
Thank you for your suggestion. Expiring old memberships is a good idea and is something that we will consider. I wonder where you are noticing people who haven't been back for a while? The main bulk of the galleries are focussed on the current month and so even though you can go back in time, the pictures and profiles you see by default should be new.
I think you are also right that the only way to get people to interact with your profile is to put up new pictures; get some new gear, take a selfie in the gym or go for a bike ride. We have an exciting idea about this which is coming soon, around this topic.
The new site makes it really easy to view a picture and from there you can: Rate, Cum, Comment or send a private message so I think that the best way to make an impact is to upload a new pic which is really why I made and enjoy the site in the first place.
Uploading a picture and seeing the comments and ratings come in and the interactions on the newsfeed is really fun so I would encourage anyone who hasn't done it for a while to give it a go!
Perhaps a good compromise would be to increase the picture limit for basic members, or provide them "credits" to post more pictures based on number of times on thesite, views of pics, comments, etc.
