Amoresy women's catsuit size question

hi, i've ordered Amoresy suits for the first time, and i've gone overboard and bought 7 Athena catsuits, all of them size M (they haven't arrived yet though) i've read a lot of reviews complaining that the suit sizes are too small by 1 or even 2 sizes, but i wonder if they looked at the height/weight chart.... so i have a question, has any Amoresy suit been too small for you even though you were within the height and weight recommendation? because i have a suspicion that all of the people who complained were either too tall and/or heavy relative to the height/weight chart...

M size recommendation = 155cm~165cm at 40~60kg i'm 170cm at around 55~60kg, so i should fit, even if it's a tight fit L size was more suited for me based on my height and weight, but i always prefer a more skin tight fit it's essentially only an issue if the zip won't close, so the biggest potential issue is shoulder width i guess, and i'm concerned because it was designed for women, and obviously women have narrower shoulders

As a first time buyer of Amoresy suits for women, I would say it's not wise to buy 7 suits in the same size. The best thing to do would have been to buy 2-3 suits in different sizes to know how they feel before ordering so many. I'm 177cm, 73kg and have a 90cm waist. According to their size chart I should fit in a L. But that was so tight I almost couldn't put it on. Most trouble was to get it over my shoulders, and I'm quite flexible. Having the suit so tight and stretched to the max made it lose some elasticity and silky feel. For you, I would definately go up one size!

to Maxthong!  thank you for the information, i appreciate it a lot you're right, i should have bought 2 or 3 different sizes, instead of splurging on a single size  i'll try my best to make it work with the M sizes though, since i bought 7 of them lol but after factoring in your info, i'll be dropping around 3 to 5 kg by the time the suits arrive, that should put me well within the weight recommendation range for M size, and i'll definitely be working on my arm socket/shoulder flexibility  again, thank you for the info!

the thing is, i'm a little guy, i pretty much have the same height/weight/build as elijah wood when he was Frodo in LOTR... lean, only a bit of muscle mass, plus i don't lift weights, i only do cardio, and if i drop 3 to 5kg, i really think it'll be an easy fit my biggest fear when ordering was to make sure i didn't get anything that was loose, because that's been my main curse when ordering spandex body suits in the past  i've always ordered the smallest size for everything spandex related

Hi again Silkysnake! I´m sorry, I was wrong in my size. I did get the XL, but now buy XXL. I like it tight, but still want to feel the smooth texture of the suit to move and feel like it´s gently rubbing my skin. Asian sizing is smaller compared to EU/US, and since many of us buy the women's suits I would very much recommend going up one size from the women's size chart if you are buying for a man! I have let my wife try on the XL Celestia catsuit, and I feel that the Amoresy size chart is way off if you are buying for "normal" EU/US bodies in regard to height and weight!

With the women sizes on the amoresy suit it best to go by the height, i bought a few but it took me 3 times before I got the right size for me, me I'm 176cm tall and weighs 68kgs, a size L didn't fit me, a size xl did fit but very tight which caused the zip on the back to break, in the end the xxl size fit me well, it still tight but I got flexibility to move around in.

to Maxthong, hmmm, maybe it's just me, but i actually have a preference for extra tight suits, extra clingy, like it's digging into me, so it might work out, maybe you're probably right in your recommendation though, your suggestion matches what others have been saying and also what the official site suggests too, so you're almost certainly right i'll see how it goes with the M suits though since 7 of them are already on their way oh, as for pics, the suits are estimated to arrives between Wed 12 Nov - Fri 28 Nov, i bought them through ebay, not the official site, so it's taking a long time, but i'm definitely going to post pics no matter how tight they are!

to Cycling,   thank you for the information that actually concerns me, because you were only 1cm over the height range for XL, and within the weight range, and the back zipper broke?! hmmm, well, fortunately i bought 7 suits, so they can't ALL break! o_o imagine if they ALL break -_-

in any case, i'll update this thread after the suits arrive, it'll be a good cautionary thread for future buyers

Yes unfortunately it broke, the xl was very tight and being 1 cm over some how caused the zipper to break, they don't have a strong zip. This has happened to many guys who have these suits.

to Cycling, i think the all important factor then, is shoulder width (checks mirror) oh no, yeah, it's looks like a typically male shoulder width, not buff, but the bone structure is definitely male proportioned  ok, now i'm worried, pray for me guys! (and if you're an atheist, still pray for me anyway)

ok, after reading the replies, i went from being confident that i'd easily fit into the M size suits... to now being confident that EVERY SINGLE zipper is going to break on me you can say "i told you so" once i come back with my report after they arrive -_- thanks for the information though, i'll do my best to drop some kg before the suits arrive, thanks again, take care! see you in a few weeks!

to Cyling, sorry, i'm just wondering, when did the zipper break? was it during zipping up? Zipping down? Or while it was fully zipped up already?  the reason i'm curious about this is because if it happened during zipping up/down, then it can potentially be prevented by technique, but if it happened while the zipper was already up, then there's no way to counter that

For me it happen after being fully zip up when it split with the zipper head was at the top which made it a challenge to get the suit off with it stuck at the top.

to Cycling, thanks for the info... that must've sucked big time! you know, i actually did anticipate zipper malfunctions/breaking, that's why i bought so many suits (5 of the 8 are black, yes, i bought 5 x black size M Athena suits) because i already anticipated the chance of zippers breaking, but here's the thing, loose spandex goes straight in the bin, so i wanted to make sure i got the tightest suits possible  i cannot and will not tolerate loose suits

If you got some good sewing skills you can replace the zip with a stronger one
