With "lab", he meant: "Lab.oratory". Check their "Athletes" nights (these are the ones made for sport fetish, which includes lycra and spandex, obv.;-)

You can wear whatever you feel wearing also during a "normal" night at Berghain (or "day", since most Berliners go on Sunday during the day). I regularly see guys in fetish wear there. If you do not want to feel kind of "out-of-place" in gear, wear a lycra/spandex outfit that is black (I know, it's a cliché...). Last time I went, I saw quite a few guys in black lycra singlets, bodysuits, or bibs.
