I escalated this to the cam chat software support with a high urgency. what I understand now, the website/URL has been declared as "spam" and some antivirus prevent accessing it because of this.
Not sure what level of danger this poses.
I will yall updated.
They said it's a false positive of declaring the cam-chat as "Spam".
You can send a report here https://www.avg.com/fr-ca/report-false-positive so they know that domain is not a spam site.
what random site was it? html5-chat (that's the service behind it).
I'm really getting annoyed with how bad the current cam chat is and has been running.
The more I think about cam chat, the more I think it would benefit us on the site as a whole: non-flaky cam chat, multiple rooms, mobile phone friendly, have 1-on-1 cam calls in DMs, ...
I'm digressing here, what I'm trying to say:
I'll get my product head on and put out a roadmap ready for the next weeks to come.
I don't know what happened but I was on cam chat yesterday, it seemed slow so I closed it out, went back in and then noticed like instead of 11 chatters there were around 98. I tried to open ones video and it wouldn't open, they had it locked, and then it came to me: this wasn't our chat—it was our window and looked the same but the chatters obviously were from somewhere else but I don't know what site. Very strange.
