Delete old messages

I have messages going back about 12 years ago . Any one know if I can delete a bunch at a time. Instead of one by one? It'll take me forever to delte singly. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

I was wondering the same thing too. Be good to know if we can delete a bunch of messages at a time. Perhaps the admin can answer?

currently this is not something that's implemented I'm afraid. but good to see more interested in this. in the upcoming improvement package I could add a "checkboxes + bulk delete action" or on mobile a "long press to select + bulk delete action". would this be of any use?

My first messages are from 19 years ago ;) Just fun to read this again after such a long time. Just a nice archive and no problem for me..

That would be amazing, to have an option of deleting old messages

Love to have the chance to delete and keep my page up to date ,,,,sorry to say but we do age , and body changes. LOL😈🌞

The same applies to the DM chats btw. All noteworthy platforms out there have a delete-message function for any of my chat messages. It would improve usability of this platform a lot. Especially since just hitting the return button posts a DM right away.

let's break this down, I think we talk about different things. we have a 'delete conversation' functionality in the messages. it removes the chats from YOUR sight. it's still readable from the other side. and as soon as the other side, or you, start sending another message, it will pop up for you again with everything readable from the time you selected 'delete conversation'. is this what you'd like? or would you like to be able to delete messages of yours that you maybe sent by accident / typo?

Hi, yes I mean the latter. I would like to have better control of what others see. So, editing or deleting single messages - not only for me, but also with effect to the chat partner - would be great. In case of typos or sent messages by accident to an unintended recipient…. etc.
