getting booted out of Chat Room

I recently took a little break from being a 'Paying' member of SP I have paid again...but just for 1 month....and I'm not sure if I will make it recurring because the state of the site at the moment is quite poor. I am not alone in regularly getting booted out of the Chat Room. Are you making some upgrades...and this is a temporary thing?
