Heros Advice

Hi Guys, I'm going to be in London next weekend and am keen to get to Heros, but not having been to events like this and not being a Londoner, I could use some advice from those of you 'in the know'. Thanks in advance! First off, gear, I'd really like to wear a wetsuit, but can't justify traveling with one- so... I'd really like to still wear some rubber. I was thinking of maybe a neoprene surfing wetsuit jacket (small enough that I can pack) and some compression tights or shorts (in white) or maybe a tight speedo (or maybe both over the evening). Does this sound ok? What about shoes? Can I get away with trainers? Then some practicalities, I gather there is a changing area, but what about your street gear? Are there lockers for bags, etc? What do you guys do with things like keys, wallets and phones? Tight gear isn't really made for a fun evening with this stuff. Finally getting there and back, is Mile End safe? I see the club is super close to the tube station, but I've always been told East London might be unsafe. I dunno if this is even far east enough to be East. I'm pretty comfortable with the tube, but is an evening (till 10:30ish) tube back to central London ok? Just some advice here- where I'm from crime and the like is a real issue and I'm pretty streetwise as a result- just like to know what I'm in for. Anyone planning on being there? I'm looking forward to having my hard cock there and on show;) Also, if anyone wants to loan me a tri-wetsuit, that could be fun too.

Take a ruck sack with you, that's what I do, they give you a number to check in your bag to a storage area when you pay to get in. You'll be fine in trainers. I'd recommend a wrist wallet if you can get one in time, but if not, they will give you a tiny little plastic bag to keep your money together, most put it in a sock. At 10:30 it will still be light, it really is right next to the tube so you'll be fine. I wear my compression gear, singlet or cycle gear under tracksuit bottoms and a hoody when I go so I don't really have to change, just remove a layer :)

The East End is perfectly safe. Yes there is sometimes the odd bit of trouble but tell me a major city where stuff doesn't happen. I've been going to Backstreet for years and have NEVER had any problems leaving the venue even at 3am and dressed in full leather. Nor have I ever heard of anyone having any trouble going back to the tube or waiting for a bus at any time of the night. Like anywhere just be aware of your surroundings. The tube and bus stop is literally around the corner - less than two minutes walk. It's turn left out of the tube, first left then first right opposite the pub, The punters there have seen it all before and usually wave at the leather guys. If you ask Oliver on the door to order a taxi then they pull up right outside of the club door.
