So if sombody was a little more muscular, 5’11” with a 36” waist and weighs 240#, would it be recommended to skip on this brand?

I'm looking to get my first pair of Amoresy swimming briefs and the sizing is in cm and not inches. I'm about a 30 inch waist in jeans. According to Google, 30 inches in cm is equal to 76. So, do I get a small or size up to a medium? https://amoresy.com/products/atlas-sheer-swimming-briefs-thong?variant=43434899046579
A follow up with Amoresy. I had to purchase the same item twice since I didn't size up three sizes. I emailed them about how disappointed I was regarding their sizing chart and suggested that they put in a chart for American sizes. She emailed back that that was too much work and they focused on the whole world and America was just a small part. She was very snarky. I won't buy from them again.
That sucks and I'm really sorry you had that experience with them. I mentioned above that I got my first order from them and all 3 pieces were way too small. As I was trying on the M sized items, in my head I was thinking that if I was going to replace them I would want to go with XL in all of them. The fabric should still cling, but not compress and smash everything into an unrecognizable blob. Since they say they have a return policy I decided to reach out to them and ask. Didn't expect them to be snarky but really expected them to say I was out of luck. Instead, they replied within 30 minutes and offered me full credit in the form of a gift card for my next purchase and no need to return the items I had. Was way more than I expected and I've already ordered replacement items in larger sizes. I guess as with any company it's all going to depend on who you reach. If they've had a shitty day they can be snarky as fuck, and if you're just a delight to be around like me, they bend over backwards for you. <~~ that is 100% a joke, by the way!

I would defer to those guys who know the brand. I sized up 2 sizes and it was still too small.

I had similar experience. I too ordered a Medium and it was too small in torso. I contacted them and they said keep it and sent out a Large which fit very snug but cannot get zipper up. May have to try XL. I am a small guy and many time a Small is a bit loose.

Just ordered the sheer swimsuit and some of the sheer tights. Can’t wait to try on.

I am 6 feet 3, 198lbs/90kg, 41 inch chest, 32/34 waist. Bought Romulus, Octavian and Olympus in XXL; Olympus and Octavian fit like a glove but the Romulus is just too small, which I think is probably the physical length rather than the width of the opening. I can't speak for this brand because it is my fist purchase, and fits like a glove, but when I've purchased wrestling singlets in the past, going up a size to accommodate my height has meant that it is too wide in the torso. Unless you are completely average or slightly heavier for any given height, finding sizes in suits is always difficult.

What about US medium waist? What size for us Americans?
Is US comparable to UK? Excluding thongs, I would always buy medium underwear and medium tops, though now a large top due to weight gain but still medium undies haha. For reference, I am 90kg/198, 6 feet 3/192cm, 41 inch chest. I bought 3 suits in XXL, two of them fit perfectly, Romulus style not so good but other two are fantastic.
