Inbox: Archive messages is here 🚀

I would prefer the option to bulk select those that I wish to archive. Like a lot of others I’d be happy just delete. For some reason Gmail gives me archive, but it’s not a thing I would ever use. Here’s a mantra not known by today’s modern people, “if in doubt chuck it out”. Forgive me it summarises my desire for a clutter free life. Where did I hear it first? I was 18 and it was one of my first bosses in a logistics role in the late 1970’s. How that phrase has stuck in my head. Thanks for listening to my ramblings

I would prefer to just delete....as well

Forgive me for “going on”. Just trying to archive my conversations so I have a select few to concentrate on. But.. what’s happening now as I delete from inbox my messages from over 5 years ago slip back into visibility at the bottom of the inbox. I appear to have chatted to everyone! From guys that haven’t been logged on for over 5 years to guys that have been on yesterday. I'd just love that delete opportunity rather than a constant battle of faffing. What do you think?
