Dear bulgers,
I'm very excited to introduce you this year's winner of
Mr International Superhero Fetish 2025!
Every year at
Darklands in Belgium, five contestants battle against each other to get this shiny title. This competition was filled with challenges, show acts and of course bulges, biceps and brightly colored spandex that left us all gasping for air.
Since this goes tightly with what we like at Spandex Party, we were one of the sponsors of this competition and I proudly was one of the judges.

Our new champion stood out from the pack. With his stage presence and cheeky strategies he convinced the jury and spectators.
Without further ado, let's get up close and personal with the man of the hour.
Q: So, can you briefly introduce yourself to the normies that don't know who THE HANDLER is and what he stands for?
"I'm THE HANDLER. I'm a spandex-clad, messy twunk who loves making good boys out of bitchboys. I'm as loud and unapologetic as they come. Out of my super disguise, I go by Freddie (Or Peter Barker when I'm a good boy.) I do a little bit of everything and everyone. I'm a writer, academic, activist, model and performer. I advocate for us all to be what we are and to remind everyone that we must do anything we can to help our community. No matter how small, as long as we are unapologetically ourselves, it makes a difference."
Q: Do you identify more as a villain or hero?
"I like to think of myself as a hero. A cocky mischievous one who occasionally needs to be put in his place by a villain, but a hero nonetheless."
Q: Can you stay in hero character and tell us why you think you won this competition over your opponents?
"I think all my competition did a spectacular job. They certainly all fit the role of doing great work for the community, looking great in skin-tight clothes, and being kinky as hell. What I believe made me stand out was being myself. There are other supermen out there but there's only one Handler: ME! This is not my first time competing and the biggest note I got last time from the judges was to be myself. This year, I rose to that challenge, and it paid off."
Q: Pick a number between 0 and 4: how many contestants did you have sexual relations with in order to find out about their weaknesses?
"Zero. It didn't take a mastermind to figure out their weakness was men in spandex."
Q: And what was going through your head when they announced winner: "THE HANDLER!"?
"Well at first, as they announced the third and second, I got the usual stress. “Oh shit. I might actually win?!” When they announced my name, I didn't even entirely process it until everyone was looking at me. It must have been only a few seconds, but it went literally in slow-motion. I honestly don't even remember hearing my name, just the slow THHHHHEEEEEHAAAAANNNDDDLLLEEERRRR.
I immediately felt the need to hug my fellow contestants who had cheered me on (and vice-versa) throughout the contest. It was truly surreal. I felt immensely proud of myself. From a scared not-out gay kid eight years ago seeing the Mister Superhero website for the first time to the proud, loud, and out kinky superhero I am today, it's a momentous moment for me in my self-growth and acceptance of who I am and what I can do. "
Q: You mentioned being a writer and performer, I heard you have play gigs coming up. What can you tell us about your play and why shouldn't we miss it?
"Yes, The Handler is not my full-time gig believe it or not. I am also a theatre writer, director, and producer. My work always focuses on LGBTQ+ issues and advocacy. I am soon to begin producing a superhero fetish themed play this year and will of course be updating everyone how that comes along. Expect bondage, spandex, and gay relationship drama.
If you'd like to see me perform, my most recent play Pup Play: A Queer Pseudo-Lecture (of sorts) is currently touring internationally to Orlando, Tampa, Glasgow, London, and more to be announced. The upcoming performance in
Glasgow on the 21/22 of March is Pay What You Can with all the profits being donated to charity. It has thus far raised £750 for LGBTQ+ charities, and it should only increase that number with each performance.
The play sees me play Professor Handler David (not to be confused with THE Handler) as he teaches audiences how to put their bitchboys into puppy headspace. The play is based on my own true experiences mixed with the extensive research and interviews I have conducted into pup play and kink identity. It has spandex, homonormative puppets, fake cum, audience participation, and erotic punk musical numbers. Behind the play's funny façade is a surprisingly emotional and introspective journey into fetish identity, homophobia, and hate crimes. The message of the show is to ultimately do something, anything to help the community and to be whatever the hell you are."
Q: Now, you made a name for yourself as a "cunning competition strategist": Tell me exactly what was your thought process when you pie'd two judges, including spandexpartyadmin in the f-a-c-e?
"Well, the challenge was to show your favorite three BDSM positions. My favorite kink (other than spandex) is WAM (wet and messy). Spandexpartyadmin was holding the pie and I knew it was either going into my face or someone else's. So, without really thinking, I grabbed the pie and introduced spandexpartyadmin to the world of messy public humiliation. After all, I had to answer the question honestly and I was *fairly* certain he was into it.
After I did it, I was honestly just making sure spandexpartyadmin was happy. Which, luckily, he was. Remember that folks: he loves getting pied in the face. And my next question, lo and behold, was to give my favorite punishment to one other person on stage. Well… I just had to make use of the second pie and give James, the previous Mister Superhero Fetish, a good pieing as well, this time to his ass. Unfortunately, we didn't seem to get any pictures of the judges getting their revenge by pieing me back.
Advice: sometimes you just gotta take a kinky risk and we're all there to have fun. After all, we're all dressed in silly costumes on a stage. Just remember whatever you serve out, you better be willing to get back. And there's nothing I would love more than for spandexpartyadmin and James to tie me up and get their messy revenge."
Q: As your inspirational closing words, and as acting Mr International Superhero Fetish 2025, what would you like to say to people out there that listen to you right now?
"Every action, no matter how small, supports our community. When you are unapologetically yourself, you are reminding others they can be too. It's scary as hell sometimes, but we cannot allow ignorant people to make us scared. Feel good. Be you. Whomever that may be. As long as we're all consenting and striving to make the world better for us all, show off that bulge and be you."
Thank you for this interview and your time.
We'll be hearing more things from you!
