Is selling gear a good option?

I am still relatively new this community, but I do have some well worn gear. Would it actually be worth my time to sell it? I’m a broke college student and looking to expand my collection and wondering if I’d make enough return on stuff, or if it’d even be worth anything.

It depends on a lot, but generally no. Brand of gear, condition, and if you're selling it 'used' or 'freshly used' ;) all play a big part in value. Any suit you can still buy online easily is generally not worth the trouble to sell. Suits like amoresy, most compression gear etc are so cheap to buy new, their second-hand value is basically nothing, unless you find someone willing to pay for gear you've 'enjoyed yourself' in... even then, there are lots of people selling this type of gear and not many buyers, so you'd have to advertise carefully... Really the only suits worth big money are rare pieces that are no longer made (Olympic speed skating suits, Speedo LZR Racer suits, just to name a couple).  Its a boring answer but if you're thinking of selling gear for some spare cash, a part time job is usually a way quicker way to save for some new hot kit ;)

I'd happily buy used gesr but depends on what people have and where they are. uk based sellers is much easier for me but i believe inpost are doing or trialling shipping between different countries using the lockerd
