Lacking in London

Aside from GRIP, I cannot think of any wholly Lycra/spandex events/club nights in London - unless anyone has other information? Most cruising nights are non-specific and I feel tend to be a little lacklustre. Let’s be fair, wearing skin-tight Lycra/spandex at an event in public can be daunting but extremely freeing at the same time. We all appreciate each other and it’s a welcoming, enlightening and very sexy community. I say we need more! How can we arrange more London-based events I wonder? Any thoughts Gents? A couple from me……. 1. Form a venue hunting committee? 2. What interest is there? 3. How often? 4. Advertising. I wanna get out more and hopefully meet some of the great guys on here. Any comments much appreciated as long as they constructive 😂 All the best.

I’m down in portsmouth and would love to attend an event, I’m always busy when grip is on. I’m also up for outside daytime events, I cycle too…

I don't think this is entirely a London issue. That said, GRIP alone made me travel to London. so having a good Lycra/Spandex/Sportswear event would have guys travel for it. 10-20 years ago, "Sportswear" would mean Wrestling Singlets, Under Armour and maybe a football pants. now "Sportswear" means mostly Football kits and chav gear. I'd love to see that "Sportswear" transforms into Cycling kits, Wrestling singlets and Fullbody suits. Sorry for the digression, I very much like the topic. I see that GRIP is doing quite well for a THURSTDAY 6PM - 12AM night. So maybe more prime-time dates will be considered

Saturday 15th August, RVT are hosting beefmince and it’s a swimwear special night.  Anyone else going?

I am going to write to Bunker with some stats on potential crowd using London based members and see what they say.  They are advertising for private hire at the moment.  Could be a winner for them (and us!).  Keep you posted.

FWIW the "wearinghers" night at Bunker says they're lycra-friendly. I've  never been, can't say how many actually turn up, but maybe get a group together and aim to arrive the same month?

Can you keep us, or me in DMs, in the loop about this? Maybe we can fire up some kind of voting/petition where users could say they're absolutely interested in this and would show up? I could then get this higher up on Spandex Party so it gets much more visibility - and potentially leads to a new space for spandex enthusiasts!
