Hopefully may as well. Anyone who's been before mind writing what sort of stuff goes on/messaging me so I can ask some questions?

This place was boring as hell... people only talk, and are not welcoming at all. no action at all... hopefully I came with a friend. I'll never come again.

Hey buono, sorry to hear :( BUT... thanks for feedback, as it always can be helpful to others I'd say. Could you tell some more, especially about "not welcoming"? I haven't been going in ages, but I remember the staff was super welcoming and helpful, bartender cute in spandex and also quite open and nice... I also remember "talking" was quite a big part (which I personally like - because "go, fuck, leave" is what you could have with almost every other event in London or elsewhere) but also there was a (small) area that (back in those days) always was busy with some raunchy lads preferring to not talk but get serious. Did you expect a purely sex driven event to take place, and what would the "Spandex" motto be like, in your "perfect" event? Curious to know! cheers flu

Yes indeed, the people working there are friendly. The people going there just talk. I came from far away to have to chance of meeting guys around my age into spandex. Guys into spandex are extremely difficult to find because most of fetishism relates to leather and rubber. So yes I expected somthing happened and that the guys would be a little bit more horny. The young guys just talked with the people they knew forming a circle where it was just impossible to enter. I've been to the holland lycra party in the past and people are much more opened there, exchanging their suits, and welcoming the people arriving. Sorry but in london it was just cold.

That's disappointing to hear... I've never been to Heros but that report is pretty offputting. I'd have thought lycra guys would be glad of the chance to meet new mates, there aren't that many of us . ..

It's refreshing, in a way, to get a honest opinion of what goes on in Heros as everyone has different opinions. I have not been to Heros yet, purely because of a fear I won't be welcomed, or having to try and fit in as a newie, especially as I would have to travel to London to attend the event, so following Buoniocattivi's comment I'll have to be cautious as to whether it's going to be worth my time to go one day. I find it hard to make friends who are purely into spandex, and not rubber/leather and that's why I have been hoping to go to Heros one day. I had expected it to be a place where I could talk, but also have a bit of fun, i.e. groping (wouldn't mind groping Buoniocattivi!), trying out the other's outfit, etc. I'm an exhibitionist so I like to have a boner in my lycra and I'm not shy with showing it off, but having said that I'm not looking to go for a fuck, just to meet people who has same interests and that I can actually make friends. I'm hoping what happened to Buiniocattivi was one-off and that it's really a good place to go to.....

Morning everyone, I thought it would be useful to add my experience of attending spandex guys in London. I to travel from Italy to attend back in November, and found it to be a "nice enough environment, but not by any means a sex club. The previous posts regarding local guys standing around in small groups talking amongst themselves are correct, but to be honest you have to just have some goals and approach them and introduce yourself. What's the worst that can happen? There is also a smoking room outside in the yard where I found a lot of guys were just hanging out and talking. I think it comes down basically do what you enjoy doing, if it's sexy you're looking for then this is probably not the club for you. If it's a mixture of socialising, talking about spandex and gear and potentially having some fun in the shadows of the bar, then you will enjoy it. Since The Hoist closed down in London, there is a real gap in the London scene for guys into spandex and wearing it out. I think the Backstreet really needs to do a better job of promoting their monthly spandex evening, and potentially having it later on so that you don't have to leave at 10PM to make way for the leather boys. I would definitely go again, but only if I happened to be in London. I wouldn't recommend travelling from overseas to attend.
