What’s up with the price gouging?! I see it so much and on almost every resale site like Mercari, Poshmark, even ebay… As an experienced gear shopper, I have become familiar with certain brands that the likes of Amazon and wish, sell by the dozen for cheap cheap… Like the ikingsky brand for example. I see the resale on these usually be close to double of what a single pair on Amazon would cost… they’re nothing rare or spectacular like say n2n, who’s resale prices are high but with reason (side note I have yet to buy myself some n2n for that reason lol) So whats the price gouging about? Also feel free to share any similar sites/links that I can check out I’d appreciate it much

i've seen this too, esp on ebay. some sellers have figured out that this stuff is a fetish for some of us, and charge crazy prices. i guess some people are will to pay premium prices for things that aren't stocked anymore, like particular styles or colors. i've seen 1 guy on ebay selling vintage speedos for $300-$500, and others who sell new N2N stuff that N2N isn't selling on their site anymore, for 3-5x the original price. and like you, i've seen things that you can buy on aliexpress for $20 selling for 4-5x that on other sites. it's a free country, buy or sell, but more than ever, you gotta do your homework to not get ripped off.

I used to sell some of my superfluous n2n gear on ebay usually for what around what I paid for it, enough to break even or at a slight profit after ebay took their 15-20% but I stopped because people would buy my stuff and the next day would be selling it at those ridiculous prices. Some of it I suppose is N2N seems to make stuff weekly in smaller quantities as opposed to seasonally like they did way back when. So sometimes it can be gone in certain sizes quickly and re-sellers take advantage of it. I do not know what other sites charge sellers but I expect its similar to ebay or amazon. Even etsy isn't what it used to be and seems to have gone away from individual producers. I can see some mark up for a print or style no longer made that is coveted but within reason. Then there are the original speedo thong or unlined briefs "Teraz" Nike made that go for several hundreds of dollars which are on a scale of their own.
