Per day photo upload limit

With the site layout how it is showing larger photos which take up a lot of space on the page, it can be frustrating to tab through the new photos section only to see like 40+ uploads from the same member before getting to the next user. If there were a daily limit as to how many photos a member could upload, then that issue would be more or less solved and it might encourage members to post more varied photos. Plus, and here's the bonus from the webmaster's position, it would significantly lower the site's bandwidth costs. Think about it. Edit: just to be clear this is not intending to shame any members in particular. Uploads keep this site active! It's just that now that the photos are so huge and there are no buttons to quickly change page, it's harder to navigate.

I agree, a very good suggestion!

Another option might be to enable filtering of pics/members when viewing new posts.

I am a newbie to this site and am still trying to work out how it works. I would have thought there might have been a way of searching by member, evidently not. I only wanted to upload my full current porfollio of pics, which I have done now. I had no idea that the recent amount of my uploads would cause any difficulty to other members not being able to find the members pictures they wish to see. This site has no comprehensive operating instructions whatsoever, so I am trying to piece it together myself. I am very sorry to have become a cause for concern so soon after joining. Your future uploads will not be swamped out by mine.

Hey Gaz, no need to worry! This is like a routine thing that happens almost every day to some extent. It's awesome that you want to upload lots of photos :) The site has recently gone through a reconstruction and this is just a design issue that's come up in general. Tried my hardest to not make you feel guilty if you saw this!

Its all cool, just a bit of a learning curve for me. I must of frustrated so many members these last few days :( To be honest I feel like a right pratt :( I had no idea what effect on the site I was having, just wanted to upload all of my porfollio. I shall re add them only a few at a time, and no more than say 10 a day. It kind of creeps me out what I have done to this site these last few days. Its kind of burst my bubble :( I am truely sorry for the disruption that I caused. from the newby [aka gaz]

All good gaz - just as nullcaps said, it's purely a matter of site features and design, not a jab at anyone. Post photos as you like - that's what we're all here for, right? :-)

Thanks, Your reply has made me feel much better, I must admit I was well weirded out about the whole situation. If members could upload albums of pics instead of only single pics it would be easier to manage and a better navigation interface. I shall reup a few pics, :)

Oh that album idea is also quite good!
