Rolling out message notifications by email

I'm about to start rolling out email notifications for new messages! 🎉
The idea is to keep you in the loop without flooding your email inbox. You'll only get an email if:
- You've turned on "Receive email notifications" in your profile settings
- You've been inactive for at least 15 minutes
- You haven't already been notified since your last visit
This way, you stay up to date while we avoid being annoying.
I'm really curious to hear what you think—your feedback will help shape this feature into something that works best for everyone.

I would suggest if we can turn it off it would have been a great feature - there are people who used their email address to sign up might want to maintain discreet when using Spandex Party.

That feature is nice, but I have to update my mail address in order to use it. Is that something that can be done regularly?

It's been a while since this is live.
I wanna check-in with you, if it hit the mark:
- is the delay of sending an email ok? (currently, after 15min of inactivity on the site)
- is the amount per day ok? (currently, only once per day if user isn't active on the site anymore)
I might miss more email notifications per day.
let's say I'm running errands in the city and get 3 new messages while doing so, I'd like to be notified of them when they happen.
suggestion: what if active users, that have been online on the site the last 24h, will receive email notifications on new messages right away, not only once a day?
do you have other feedback?

When multiple messages arrive at the same time, why not have one email notification where all are mentioned in one go instead of multiple single emails?
