Back in high school my family took a trip to the mall and I finally was old enough to go off on my own. I did, and made my way to Coast Mountain Sports (I don't know if any other Canadians remember this story, it was the precursor to Atmosphere). Any who I decided to try on some tights and of course the change rooms were locked and I had to get help. I almost considered not, being shy when a guy came up behind me.
He must have been thirty, mid-thirties at the most, shorter, dark hair and well built. He was wearing generic outdoor shoes, a long sleeve t-shirt and a vest... and black tights.
Being in high school I was so turned on and he let me in the change room. He told me not to be afraid to ask for help as tights are usually difficult for the first time. He must have gathered that me being young I wasn't seasoned in what I was trying on. I tried on the gear but could not stop thinking about that guy. Then he knocks on the door and asks if I need help. I said no, but he said insisted, as he knew the fit might be off. He asked what size I was trying on and what size my underwear were and I told him a large and a medium respectfully. He told me he was going to get a medium for me. I panicked and put my regular clothes back on, leaving the change room just as he came to the door with the medium.
"I brought you a better size." He said.
"Thanks, I'm good." I said and got out of the store as fast as I could.
In hindsight if I ever got customer service like that again, I'd take it! Further good on him for wearing tights to work! Wish I were him.
