Spandex Care advice

Just some Advice..... although Wet Spandex can be a very hot look...... I do not recommend wearing it in a Swimming Pool that has Chlorine in the water.. Chlorine actually breaks down spandex fibers, Also Chlorine can Fade Color over time...... Best Detergent for washing spandex is a detergent called Cheer..... it neutralizes Chlorine in wash machine so it doesn't fade or damage clothes including spandex Spandex is too expensive these days to have it ruined by Chlorine From the washer or swimming pools that are chlorinated

Also not putting spandex gear in the dryer and letting it dry as flat as a possible. Not to overly coddle one’s gear but it does help by not cooking the material post wash.

I hand wash my spandex and anything else delicate in Woolite and hang it up in the shower.

Same. I use a gentle soap and cool water. I dry items flat on a beach towel when necessary, or leave them hanging over the shower curtain rod. Never a problem. Under no circumstances would I ever put spandex in the dryer.
