spandexguys.com closed its doors after 25 years...

Really sad to hear to see such a long lasting community closing. If some users from spandexguys turn their head to here, please welcome them with a big heart. Cheers!

That’s really sad to hear…all the same, it would be great to have some fresh users over here. I’m sure there are plenty of SP/SG crossover dual members…but still I’m looking forward to meeting some new faces and bodies and checking out their gear!

Yeah, I was surprised to see that happen.. At least this site exists. After gearfetish.com was closed down (for legal issues) and now spandexguys.com, there are not too many web places focused on spandex unfortunately.

I missed Gearfetish.com. So it was closed for legal issues? how so?

I am having so much fun here that I recently submitted for a name change on Spandexguys to match my name here several weeks ago. It sat unanswered. I was on vacation when I saw it had closed down. I discovered SpandexParty by way of Spandexguys originally. They had a lot of great features but unfortunately their pictures were always so small compared to the many hi res pics here.

I was on SG a while back during the pandemic as a way to connect with people but it was never as social or active as SP.

Welcome to SpandexGuys ... we will be back The last few months have been very hard on us and have given us a chance to think about the future of the SpandexGuys community. In the day of easily accessible pictures, porn and apps that allow people to connect we have seen traffic, engagement and income reduced to a point where we could not pay for redeveloping a new traditional style community and were fighting an uphill battle. We have been around in one iteration or another for nearly 25 years. Because of this long history and commitment we will take a short break, regroup and see how we can make SpandexGuys relevant again. At first we will leave this page on the old server. As we migrate to a new server and also use a new registrar, there will be a temporary outage of a few days maximum. So, please bear with us while we sort our old brain cells, look for new talent to help us and we'll be back in full force. October 7, 2022

That's interesting! thanks for the update on this, tomas! I also have been on the site for many years, but I never got really into it. I'm sure Spandex Party and SpandexGuys serve different intents with small overlapping ones. In any case I wish them the best, because I it's not always very straight forward in this business area.
