Speedos in the news!

I'm the editor of an LGBT news site and scan 400 - 600 stories a day to see what is interesting. A few weeks ago a story about "Speedo Summer" came up and I saved it to post here. It was followed by a second story on European underwear by a blogger. Surprisingly, the NY Times had an article on skimpy swimming briefs.

A complaint you often hear in Florida is about Québec men wearing speedos on the beach, no matter the age*.
Back when I was 15 or 16, I went on a road trip to California with a bunch of kids my age.
When I came back home, my mother asked me outright if Americans had any reaction to my speedo... (Speedos are so normal and ordinary that they don't turn me on at all — not enough spandex, I guess)... 😄
* I'd say it's a reaction against religion, which, for historical reasons, we absolutely hate and loathe... Why else 100% of our swear words come from religion?

Very true. Hope that someday speedos are the norm. Been wearing a speedo all my life. Growing up most boys did. Back then speedos were only nylon no spandex.
