The message notification needs to go!

I hate the ding dong. Someone sends a message it starts dinging and dings repeatedly until you go to messages. You have to stop what you are doing, to get rid of the obnoxious sound it makes. Why is the repeating of it necessary. My email message notification does quite well with just one tone. I say stop the Ding Dong or at least allow users to set their own settings.

Hear hear! Obnoxious is the correct word here.
