posted by: silkcoolif you want to do some touristy, sporty or nerdy stuff, here are some nice options: today [17-23h] is the long night of research (Lange Nacht der Forschung), where scientist, organizations and companies share their projects, technologies and achievements. So if you see around museums or institutions posters, you can go inside and check it out. And they usually speak English as well. There is also one station at the UN/Atomic agency headquarters (near the river, but passport and security checks!) Given the good weather, city bikes are good option to explore (even in gear), especially along the Kanal and the Danube island/river [20+ km park and recreational area]. For those who like a hill challenge with a view - Kahlenberg is a good option. It is also accessible by public transport or hike through the vineyards and wineries. Other hills, forests, vineyards, view, drink options -> Bisamberg/Strebersdorf/Stammersdorf (NW), Jubiläumswarte [W] , Lainzer Tiergarten [W] fyi: public transport runs around the clock, including the ubahn today and tomorrow and some trains, but more remote destinations would be harder/longer to reach later at night
