Upload Pictures to my Profile

I am having a problem uploading pictures to my profile. I have never had this problem with other site. I was able to upload a few because they were thumbnails. I have tried reducing or increasing my pictures as icons and tiles, but still the error warning appears. How do I reduce my pics to thumbnails? Or what do u think I may be doing wrong? If you can help me please do. I would appreciate it.
