I think that for people who love spandex but are otherwise heterosexual, a nice figure in tight, shiny spandex can be just as arousing (basically, if spandex looks good on someone, it doesn’t matter if they’re a man or a woman). In my opinion, there’s nothing wrong with that... I like it when both women and men find me attractive in spandex. Otherwise, I’m also heterosexual—I only have physical sex with women, but when it comes to touching through spandex, I don’t distinguish between genders. Plus, I have this quirk, and no one knows what it is or why it happens. There are times when I just don’t want to see spandex, and then there are times when I wear it everywhere (in public, with underwear).

That is so cool. Why does the have to be a label. If you enjoy something and if it's with another man and there is consent then there should be no problem. I've encountered a similar thing although I'm gay a hero friend was interested in lycra so I helped and just let him go at his pace and that I would follow his moves and do to him what he did to me. I just said he could do whatever he wanted to me but the gear (lycra Skins running tights in our case) stays on. We played for a couple of hours and he loved every minute and learned how it felt especially when introduced to the very light touching I think that's what made him blow. He knows now he can always come and see me for his lycra hit he also knows that I will not initiate or ask him.
