Suggestions and site feedback

Hey all, I just pushed an update with the delete/archive messages in the inbox that has been requested by many users. With this you can keep your inbox clean. https://spandexparty.com/inbox FYI If you archived a message by a user and that user sends new messages, it won't add to the "new message" count on the top. Click on the "Archived messages" button, and you'll be still able to read through your archived messages, or unarchive them. Feedback very welcome as always! Cheers! Simon

How do I delete unwanted messages?

I think the current 'archive conversations' function is covering the needs of the 'delete conversation' use case. You can tell me why you think a 'delete conversation' would do a better job for a certain use case / thing, then I'm happy to add it as well! Let me know

For example: abusive messages, bullying, trolls, spam etc.

Plus also what's the point keeping chats from people you had conversations with years ago and will never speak to again? I just think it is better to have the delete button choice to clean up your inbox. Just an idea anyway.

I think a delete is a good option too. Delete the unwanted and archive old ones you may want to keep.

I think you should also have a report button so we can report spam, trolls etc There is nothing to report spam and no way to delete them.

Hi Simon. Just a quick question. How does one 'un archive ' a message. Because It is telling me that I have 1 archived message. But when I click the tab. It comes up with a blank screen.

You can un-archive a conversation the same way you archived it: - click on archived conversations - click on the conversation - click on top right "..." - unarchive conversation

You're right here, that's a bug. The indicator should only pop up when any archived conversation has unread messages in them! I just deployed a fix and you should see it shortly. Thanks for reporting it!

Ah, good catch. Should be visible on mobile as well. I'll put it on the to-fix list.

That can be an indicator that a user is blocked. But they shouldn't pop up in the first place anymore. Roro1001, can you send a private message on what page you had this issue?

Please please, make a delete option… perhaps I’m too chatty over the years but I appear to have to archive half the world’s spandex guys who I’ve spoken to in the last five years…

Do you mean an "archive all" button that moves all inbox conversations into archived conversations?
